Shoulder Injuries Recovery Principles

10 hrs

About the Course

If you have been experiencing any shoulder pain, neck pain, migraines, tight hips, lower back pain or tight hamstrings, most likely your body is using your neck as the anchor point .

The overuse of our necks on a daily basis causes excessive direct mechanical stress to our joints, leading to incorrect use of muscular system and adding unnecessary stress to cardiac and lymphatic systems. It also directly impacts the buoyancy of our nervous system and restricts the flow of cerebrospinal fluid which can lead to brain diseases (dementia among others)

What will I learn?

The way we set our wrist, fingers and elbow when moving our arm on a daily basis can make all the difference. The elbow joint is responsible for moving the arm and helps connecting to the lats. The movement of the wrist and forearm goes mainly to the neck .

Each finger also connects to a different myofascial line - learning how to align the fingers at the middle knuckles will help to stabilise the shoulder and move the arm freely.

Every process starts with awareness.

The way we clean the kitchen, pull a drawer, type on keyboard, move a mouse or pull weeds out of our garden all can make a difference.

Please try to practice simple activation drills presented in the following sections and let me know if the body feels different after few days or weeks.

Pay attention to your daily movements - opening a cabinet, cleaning a bench, holding a pot and see if you can apply the arm movement principles while doing them.

Day by day, you will feel more connected with your body -and your body will thank you for it.
